국내/외 다양한 장소에서 천경우 작가가 진행했던 퍼포먼스 작업을 정리하여 아카이브한 책이다. 작가와 이지윤 큐레이터 (재영독립큐레이터, 숨 & 리서치대표)의 공동기획으로 26개의 퍼포먼스 관련 사진과 그에 대한 짧은 기록들로 구성되어 있다. 공간, 시간, 자신, 기억, 그리고 이것들의 복잡한 상호 소통은 천경우의 중주요 관심사 이기도 하다. 그의 작업에서 그는 ‘자신’과 타인에게 ‘서로’가 되는 것이 어떠한 의미인지를 이해하고 탐구하기 위해 사진, 설치, 퍼포먼스 등의 매체를 총동원한다. 그에게 세상은 점차 공간과 시간, 나와 그들 사이의 복잡한 상호 소통에 대하여 소원해지고 개인은 타인 혹은 스스로에 의해 점점 소외되고 고독해지고 가고 있기 때문이다.

It is this space, time, self, memory, and the way they interact with each other that are key interests to Chun. His works, which include photographs, video, installations and performances have all risen from his need to explore and understand what it means to be self and self-to-self in the world that is increasingly becoming blind of the complex interactions between me-and-them, space and time, past and present, where individual seems to be becoming more isolated, from others and indeed from oneself.
