  • But when there is love and beauty, whatever you do is right, whatever you do is in order (...) It seems to me that one thing is absolutely necessary and that is passion without motive-passion that is not the result of some commitment or attachment, passion that is not lust. A man who does not know what passion is will never know love because love can come into being only when there is total self-abandonment.
    - J. Krishnamurti from Freedom from the Known

Ultimately, is it a failure? Love, pleasure, temptation, lack of control/control, addiction, desire... instincts, customs, society, ethics, birth... men, women, gays, lesbians... Going beyond the boundary of sexuality, is the nature of this approach comparable with such terms? These words are used without restraint, dancing boisterously in our minds and therefore, the truth has turned its back on us. They are conventional labels used obsessively to classify, merely exposing the boundary of differences that exists between you and I. However, in this issue such borders are ambiguous in the work of these ten artists. Rather, what present is sacrifice, worship, relationships, sex and all tendencies towards pleasure and pain solely for the survival of 'pure desire'. In J. Krishnamurti's words, ¡°passion without motive-passion that is not the result of some commitment or attachment,¡± it is through this path of 'pure beauty' that we are able to find ourselves and each other – no boundaries exist here.
