IANN is published by IANNBOOKS Co., Korea, as fine arts bi-annually printed magazine and it is published simultaneously in Korea and Japan by co-publishing FOIL. Putting down the two languages together (Korean/English), IANN will focus exclusively on encouraging artists/writers/readers to engage directly to photography and aspire to present new ways of understanding photography as contemporary art.   Iann [ 二眼 ] means eyes for seeing and for thinking. Having this philosophy in mind, IANNBOOKS will get near to art people as always.   FOIL has published many books which feature contemporary art, including the books of Yochitomo Nara and Rinko Kawauchi since the establishment in 2004 and also FOIL gallery is now opened.
